  174. from IFO files, and menu buttons, navigation commands are remapped to
  175. point to the correct remaining streams. If unchecked, disabled streams
  176. are only marked as unavailable in PGC_GI tables, and no remapping of
  177. any kind occurs. The first (default checked) option is generally 
  178. recommended, but may cause problems with stream selection on some 
  179. discs.

  435. No more compression levels. Instead we have four new settings:
  436. - No compression - original video.
  437. - Automatic - DVD Shrink will choose the best compression ratio.
  438. - Custom - you can select desired ratio (with a slider)
  439. - Still Pictures - as before.

  441. Better quick analysis.
  442. The sample points for initial quick analysis are carefully chosen, 
  443. and sparse analysis results are interpolated between samples.
  444.  
  445. New "Analysis" button.
  446. This performs a deep analysis, which (a) guarantees that the 
  447. predicted target size is met and (b) significantly improves video 
  448. quality.
  449.  
  450. New "Analysis Results" file format
  451. The new format is more flexible, used to save results of the initial 
  452. quick analysis, also deep analysis results or partial analysis 
  453. results (if you cancel analysis, partial results are saved). Also 
  454. better checking in case of conflict of CRC values between two DVDs.

  456. One-pass encoding.
  457. Output files are written to HD in one pass, so no longer necessary 
  458. to make a second pass to fix navigation ptrs. This reduces total 
  459. encode time by about 5 mins.
  460.  
  461. Multi-threaded preload buffer (in both analysis and encode modules).
  462. While one batch of data is being processed, the next batch is pre-
  463. loaded on a seperate thread. This seems to work especially well 
  464. during quick analysis, where the waiting time for drive seek 
  465. operations is significantly reduced.
  466.  
  467. RCE region protection removal, special thanks to Mr.Bass. 
  468.  
  469. New "New Frame" menu option - creates another instance of DVD Shrink, 
  470. but in the same process. This is used by re-author module which now 
  471. supports drag 'n drop, or cut & paste, from any window (re-author 
  472. from multiple disks).

  474. Video preview window shifted to the right-pane, which is where it 
  475. belongs.

  477. Fixed various strange behaviours in the DVD and Streams View. Also
  478. removed the "Compressed" column, since takes up unnecessary space.

  521. Turn this off to seperately list all multi-angle titles (or

  524. only Angle 2, etc.

  526. Fixed TMAP table generation for re-authored titles with angle 
  527. greater than 1. Seek in PowerDVD etc should now work, whatever the

  665. interface, just a temporary measure.

  667. Added "Still Movie" encoding: only copy the I-pictures, heavily 
  668. compressed. This gives huge compression as an alternative to 
  669. deletion of the entire video stream, which people seem to want, but 
  670. re-encoder module can't handle, because it alters the navigation 
  671. structure of the DVD. Audio and subpicture streams will still play 
  672. normally.

  674. Increased number of samples taken during analysis, so it takes 50%

  686. Increased brightness of video preview in re-author module, add and 
  687. crop dialogs. Preview windows in other modules are DirectDraw YUV 
  688. surfaces for performance, so not so easy to modify.

  691. Adding support again will require a virtual rewrite of the re-author 
  692. module. User is now offered only angle 1, which will prevent crashes.
